Chapel Hill Christian School Board of Education
Chapel Hill Christian School is governed by a board of thirteen members. All have outstanding Christian testimonies and are respected in their various vocations and for their Christian service.

Dan Petschke, Chairman
Corporate financial management, Dan has served on the board since 2017. He is married to alumni Julie (Vogel) ’83 and their children Rachel ’16 and Joshua ’18 attended CHCS.

Kurran Bishop, Vice-Chairman
Associate Pastor at SPAN Ministries, Kurran has served on the board since 2019. His three children all graduated from CHCS (’18, ’19, ’22).

Jill Hiner, Treasurer
The Vice President of Finance & CFO of Western Reserve Hospital in Cuyahoga Falls, Jill has served on the board since 2014. Her son, Logan ’22, is a graduate of CHCS.

Zachary Brott, Secretary
Information Services Manager at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and CHCS graduate, Zachary has served on the board since 2022. He is a registered nurse in the state of Ohio. His two children, Isaac and Elijah, currently attend Chapel Hill.

Mary Bloom
As a CHCS graduate herself, Mary loves to disciple Christians through online courses, inner healing, sports, retreats and mission trips. Mary has served on the board since 2015. Her daughter Anya ’19, also graduated from CHCS.

Kemp Boyd
Co-Pastor at Garden City Church in Akron, Kemp has served on the board since 2016. He is the Executive Director, of Love Akron and Head Football Coach at Kenmore-Garfield High School. Three of Kemps children have graduated from CHCS (’18, ’21, ’21) and he has one child currently enrolled.

Robb Martin
Organizational Effectiveness Consultant with MindShift Coaching and Consulting, Robb has served on the board since 2009. He is also the president of Martin 3 LLC, a real estate investment company.

Jim Swanson
Retired with 37 years in Christian education, 35 of which he served at CHCS, Jim has served on the board since 2017. During his time at CHCS he served as the Administrator over both campuses. His two daughters are both graduates of CHCS. All of his seven grandchildren have benefited from Christian education.

Mark Matthews
Senior Pastor Mark serves as the Lead Pastor of Chapel Hill Christian Church in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, where he faithfully leads the congregation in biblical teaching, discipleship, and community outreach. His heart for partnering with families and nurturing a Christ-centered faith aligns closely with Chapel Hill Christian School’s mission to educate and disciple students through a strong biblical worldview.Â
